Heart of Africa

A group of four Irish businesses – Jacob Fruitfield Food Group, Barry’s Tea, United Drug and Bewley’s – have joined together to launch Heart of Africa The Heart of Africa brand provides suppliers with an avenue to the Irish market and access to Irish companies willing to engage in commercial activities to develop, promote and manage the brand and assist African companies to develop the necessary skills to supply products into the EU.

The Heart of Africa range includes a fresh ground coffee blend from Uganda, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo; a blend of Ugandan, Kenyan and Rwandan teas; Dried fruit, purchased as a finished product directly from Uganda; and Macadamia nuts, sourced from Malawi.  The companies behind the Heart of Africa brand have created Traidlinks – a not-for-profit alliance of businesses promoting enterprise development.
